✨ Residence and Care Agreements

Early Admission Program
Author Last Post

This sounds like a new twist to fill beds in Assisted Living (AL), Skilled Nursing (SN) and Memory Care (MC) facilities. High occupancy rate is a good thing financially, but shipping Residents to outside units is not.

Several questions that prospects for this new program should ask. Would Residents moving from IL have priority over those coming directly from their off-campus home? Is the Entrance Fee refundable? Do the Monthly Fees in AL or MC stop when the patient moves out or dies?

Residents at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge have been presented with an already decided program where outside residents may remain in their homes but come into one of the care areas directly when needed. The fees - including up front and monthly - are reduced but they can slide right into one of the care areas. It seems that if there were a need of a bed for a resident, THE RESIDENT would be shunted to an outside facility.

Do any of the members of NaCCRA have this plan in place.
