✨ Assisted Living & Skilled Nursing

I am wondering if there are any AL or SN residents...

Thanks, Maura, sounds great. The forgotten, isolated residents deserve what you plan to do. I will be waiting for your posts about what you are doing and how it works. Also it would be great to hear from those in AL or SN (any community).

I so appreciate your adding Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing to the conversation. The strength of our communities, and the CCRC concept itself, depends on active inclusion of all members.

I am presently working on a program to create a bridge between the independent living residents and those living in Al and SN so the communities can meld together on an ongoing basis. We chose CCRC living with the reasonable expectation that we ourselve could be receiving such services in the future. The work is important on so many levels.

My plan is to include our work in these posts as we work to get the program launched.

Thank you, Susan.

Unless I missed it, I could not find anything reviewed, commented on, posted by CCRC residents who are living in AL or SN (where SNFs still exist). I would like to know more about what they are experiencing in today's environment as far as quality of care goes and if they are getting the kind of care that they have been expecting when they decided to become CCRC residents. Honest information would be very helpful for prospects, as getting good care when needed is one of the main reasons for some of us are considering a CCRC.
