We have a similar service as Linda described on regular checks for filters, pull cords, and smoke detectors. We have outside window washing and dryer duct cleaning every 2 years.
The General Services department uses a computerized work order system so we can prompt response for anything we report that needs attention in our apartments. We can report by telephone or email.
There is a quarterly service that changes heat pump filter, checks fire extinguisher and smoke detector, checks pull cord for pulling to get medical help. You can have your mattress rotated. Every 10 years you get a residence update, some no cost like new carpet and paint, cost if asking for extras.

Are there any communities where preventive maintenance is done on a periodic basis? Does the environmental services department examine each residence completely every several years proactively rather reacting only when service is requested?
