Does your community have armed/unarmed security staff?

We have combined secuirty and emergency responders. The title is Security Emergency Services Officer. They are not armed. We are a 2,000 resident CCRC in Maryland.

Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads in Falls Church, VA has unarmed security detail 24/7. The men are pleasant and helpful. If they see that your car state inspection is going to expire they will put a note on your windshield. If you need a battery jump, they are there. I suspect if they found me sprawled on the wilderness walking path they would come to my rescue.
